[Fairport] Guan Dao
=======================
Real Life History and Specs:

Type of weapon: Polearm
Origin: China
Time period: Approximately 200 AD to early-mid 1800's

Sometimes referred to locally in China as a "reclining moon blade" the guan dao is a polearm that seems to have originated around the time of a military commander named Guan Yu in the third century AD though it is questionable legend states the commander himself designed the weapon; thus the name Guan in guan dao. Early guan dao weapons were extremely hefty and only those very skilled and physically fit would have been able to use them as records clame these polearms weighed anywhere from 39-105 pounds. Though the weapon could be used in other ways if necessary, records show the guan dao was generally used to make sweeping cuts and slashes in battle with some evidence showing it may have been used as a disarming weapon at some points in time. Reproduction training guan daos are still made today as they are an integral part of many martial arts of Chinese origin.

**Please note, if you wish to damage, make sure you are enabled in damage mode; ie: if you are in push mode switch to damage by using the 'enable damage mode' command. There are three settings for damage once you have enabled this mode: low, high, fatal. Damage is determined by the mass of your enemy. That's right, the larger or smaller your enemy avatar's mass alters the amount of damage one can do to them in a Linden damage zone. On average, however, low does about 7-13% damage on a hit, high does 30-40% on a hit, and fatal does 80-100% damage on a hit.
