Fireplace screen "Lasalle vert" -C&G-

After a piece made by François Foliot for the Garde-Meuble de la Couronne for Marie Antoinette Queen of France in 1784.
Carved with neoclassical motifs crowned by volutes and oak leafs and gilt. Dressed in a 18th century silk lampas from Lyon. These fireplace screen were used to embellish the fireplace when not lit and occasionally block excessive heat from the face.
