It's pretty simple really. Plop it down and put plants and decorations as you see fit in and around it, then put some fish in if you like. I reccomend the pet peddlers or animania fish.
There is a nameplate area on the front that can be retextured or removed. Also for those that are good with scripting sits...this is the greatest vehicle for that.
It is Mod to allow for all of that.
This pond is on display all decorated at the noted LM.

Pond is beautiful
I bought pond three days ago and put it on my property and then I wanted to move the house around so I had taken the pond and now it’s no longer in my inventory or in the lost and found
