A simple mesh skysphere (hollow sphere shell, that is) to use with cubemapped environment textures. 6 separate texture faces allows very high resolution background compared to an ordinary sphere (6 x 1024x1024!). Also has pretty economical land impact: 10 LI at maximum size of 64x64x64 meters, 4 LI at 32x32x32.
The Milky Way textures included as the default courtesy of ESO.
Note: this is sold as is and I can't help you with making cubemapped environment textures! Normal sphere textures will not work on it. Some building experience required.

Genuinely Impressed
I really wasn't expecting much here, but the effect actually blew me away! The screenshots can't really do it justice. I rotated the sphere to put the Milky Way almost overhead, added a super slow local rotation script and another to show/hide the sphere on touch and now it's a permanent part of my build platform. I also bought Frio's other three SkySpheres and gave them similar script treatments. Thanks Frio!
ABSOLUTLEY OUTSTANDING!
I purchased this Skysphere to fit around a Sci-Fi club we are designing for an event we are having - and this creation works perfectly for that purpose. It's quite large, which we needed, and looks wonderful! For only $10L and at only 10 LI, I can't imagine anything better. Trust me, I looked at several other designs sort of like this, but nothing, I am telling you in all seriousness, NOTHING was better! Kudos to the creator, Frionil Fang, for such a great piece of work!
