Nothing's gonna give you a deeper tan than hanging out in close orbit of a black hole, soaking in those x- and gamma rays from the beautiful blue glow of the accretion disk. Perfect for beach scenes. Or end of the world.
A bundle of a simple mesh skysphere and skybox (hollow shells to decorate your surroundings with a background texture, that is) to use with cubemapped environment textures, as well as extra large sizes built from oldschool megaprims. Fully modifiable for size, rotation, glow, color tinting, etc. You can't scale the megaprims, though (they'd stop being mega-) but a script is included to make custom sizes from your own megaprims!
For the cubemaps, 6 separate texture faces allows very high resolution background compared to an ordinary sphere (6 x 1024x1024, vs. simple sky spheres with just 1 texture). For the megaprim builds, the resolution is not quite as high (4x 1024x1024), but still 4x sharper than normal single-texture backgrounds.
The cubemap sphere version uses 16 LI at maximum 64x64x64 meter size. The box version uses 1 LI at *any* size! Megaprims should cap out around 13 LI.
You can also use your own cubemap textures if you have some and don't mind using the Build tool. You could also use your own equirectangular panoramic textures (cut into 4 parts) for the megaprims. Can't really help you with the texture conversion work, so that's more for an adventurous approach.

- Comes in 3 versions - rounded sphere, economical box and megaprims
- 6x normal texture resolution for cubemaps, 4x for megaprims
- Sphere: 16 LI at maximum 64x64x64 meter size, cube: 1 LI always
- Megaprims: about 13 LI; includes a script for custom sizes
Very nice, with good options included for your needs!
Exactly what I was looking for,
It turns out I ended up using the 64x64x64 cube version so as to fit everything neatly inside, otherwise even though I would have rathered the sphere version some of my build would have been sticking out. That said, I am so glad they included a cubed version, as it fits exactly on the size of my plot perfectly! Five Stars, buy this if you are looking for a unique incloser of space for your sky home, including a backhole! :)

Fantastic!
Really enjoying all of Frio's SkySpheres! Check the listing for the "Milky Way" SkySphere for my full review but I wanted to leave some love on each listing 'cause they're all great. Thanks Frio!
It just works.
It's a skysphere, and it looks great, like you're actually in the milky blue accretion disc of a black hole. It's also a screaming deal at L$33.
