Hey guys, here comes something to extend these summer days a little - Platypus Typ 707, an unique amphibious car from back in the days!

Here's a brief list of all the cool stuff featured in this little number:
- can go on land or water, plus a special tunnel mode that helps going through underwater tunnels;
- working suspension;
- GFS fuel system;
- batteries;
- complex damage and breakdown system;
- completely animated controls;
- epic animations for occupants;
- great number of clickable stuff;
- great number of addons, including various luggage, extra parts, trims, and broad coloring abilities;
- and first on GEMC vehicle, character-based license plates(yeah, I know, we're kinda late on that train, but nevertheless), as well as boat registration number.

not so happy

I love GEMC cars, buses are so fun and great for traveling around the net, but this one... :/ It's really small, not just small, it's a little bit more than that, kind of cool, it's got a lot of custom stuff and that's awesome, it could be a great, different vehicle, but here's the problem, the water.... It's slow to the point of being completely boring, the waterline and buoyancy are bad, so you're driving with water up to your waist, that might be fun, like you're driving a pool in the ocean, but the speed, that's the big deal, the speed in the water and the size of the vehicle that two things disappoint me a lot, I would have preferred to buy another bus which are incredibly good and not waste money on this one.

A driving boat or a floating car

The Platypus is probably one of the most unique cars i've ever seen (also outside SL). It's a great looking and driving vehicle that can turn itself in a boat. Both the driving scripting as well as the boating scripting is great. And like every GEMC vehicle it looks, sounds and works great.

As my first GEMC vehicle I was really excited to see all the features that this car has, as well as the versatility to be used in grid drives. the level of realism and smooth driving that you get is a huge step up compared to other cars I used before.

I bought this Platypus for a Drivers of SL grid drive where I needed an amphibious vehicle. So much fun to tour around in, land and water. Lovely little car.

Now that the mainland continents are connected, what better way to travel across the grid than in this amphibious craft! As you'd expect, this vehicle has been set up to give as realistic experience as you can get, so you're going to need to make landfall on a slope, as this won't be doing any vertical climbing any time soon.
Fun times, plenty of interaction with the controls, enjoy yourself!
