GLW is an all new wind system for SL Sailing. It is based on WWC and BWind and like WWC it has
- wind
- waves
- currents
It also incorporates local variations which are controlled by a web server through a http connection. This web server also controls the participants of any event for which the Race Director can set all the relevant parameters via a supplied GLW Setter before the race. It can also work without connection to the web server as a standalone wind like actual winds do.
This package includes the GLW Setter for the Race Director, all necessary manuals, and a boat so you can test drive the new wind system. Also you will find a cruise route where you can experience the new wind for yourself.
All scripts and the server components can easily be integrated by creators into their existing or new creations.

Have been trying this out as a way of learning about sailing (in SL), so far really enjoying just pottering about Blake Sea in the included boat while getting more intuitive with the information it presents. Just started trying the Wind Setter option and reading Director's Manual too. Fascinating! Really enjoy complex systems and how to make the most of them.
Hope this will be available as on option on larger vessels or be an easy addition to existing ones which are modifiable when it goes on full launch. Good luck and thank you.

I love the sailboat that came in this package. So cool, where can I buy one in more traditional boat colors? This boat looks great, sails great and has great wind system.

A great improvement over the current wind systems
After my first trial tests, i see a great potential in this new wind engine.. The chance of variations without the need to rezz buoys and the effect of waves.in directions and speed are stunning features.
I hope that in future this new engine can be sold as upgrade to any other boat :) .
