Haunted Mirror and Free Portable Abyss

This haunted mirror is different... and you need to use ALM (advanced lighting) to see it. That will soon be all you can use anyway with upcoming changes to SL. A PBR viewer is needed to see the additional PBR materials and the PBR reflection of your surroundings on the mirror.

You *really need* to see this in my inworld store, or at least watch the videos linked below. I cannot show the 3D effect with a picture.

The Haunted Mirror works as a PBR reflector (if you have a PBR viewer), with a haunting image which works with or without PBR. Click the frame to select the image and its level of fade.

You must have advanced lighting on for this to work, and a PBR viewer is needed to see the PBR materials although the mirror also has traditional texturing. Without PBR, the reflector will not reflect your surroundings but will still have the ghostly image.

A version is included with a PBR reflection probe. They are not linked, and the probe can be modified. Go into edit mode before rezzing that version so both parts are selected to begin with to make your life easier moving them. Make sure to turn on "Select Reflection Probes" and "Show Reflection Probe Volumes" in the Build/Options menu.

PBR reflection probes help the viewer know what should be reflected and reduce the blue sky tint you otherwise get on everything, even indoors. Ideally a single reflection probe should be used to fill the room, wall to wall, floor to ceiling.

Portable Abyss

No PBR materials, but works as a PBR reflector in addition to the abyss if using a PBR viewer.

The Portable Abyss is a 'hole' into the void. You can attach it (at your feet - you might need to move it a little depending on your height) or just rez it on the floor or a wall for an instant hole. Again, you must have ALM for this to work for you.

To make a copy of the portable abyss, rez one from inventory. Shift-dragging a copy will break the copy (SL limitation, not mine).

Please note that the PBR reflection is *not* a 'real' mirror; it uses a snapshop reflection of the surroundings not a real-time reflection. You can't use it for shaving or doing your make-up.

Note also that, unlike most things I sell, this is no-mod. This actually *can* be broken quite easily by trying to mod it. The same applies to the free Portable Abyss.
