This is an avatar script and render (complexity) monitor, it allows you to see, and display to visitors, which avatars consume excessive script or render resources (shows top 6 avatars). It can be used to encourage avatars to reduce their resources usage, thereby reducing lag. It would typically be used in places where many avatars visit and lag may be a concern, such as a club or a community area.

avatars with a too high render weight (complexity) may be displayed as "jelly dolls" by the SL viewer.

Most similar monitors show only script resources usage/impact of avatars, but this one shows and operates on both script and render weight, allowing you to deal with both at once (displaying, warning, ejecting, etc). Render weight is how costly an avatar is to render/display in the viewer. High render weight avatars slow down one's framerate. High script impact slows down a sim and scripted objects in the sim (such as games and vendors)

For those who want the old behavior (only script usage monitoring, and memory instead of render weight), a setting is included to do so.

UPDATE 2022-12-12: version 6 was released. existing customers who want it can use the redelivery terminal in my in world store or ask me in world.

NOTE: Changes in an avatar's render weight will take time to approach towards the new value, due to an inherent limitation in how Second Life works. An avatar's initial render weight (when they tp in) typically shows fast (within a minute). This is because the simulator receives render weight values from nearby avatars, to update its internal idea of an avatar's complexity, at one update per avatar per minute, doing a sort of "moving average" on them. So the fewer avatars are within an avatar's view, the slower the render weight changes to approach the new value. In a busy sim, it may get close to the correct value in maybe 1 or 2 minutes, but if you're alone with the monitor, it can take as long as 10 or 15 minutes. Also, the value is often off by a few percent due to viewers disagreeing on how they calculate an avatar's render weight. This makes this monitor's display of render weight more suited for seeing laggy avatars in busy sims such as clubs, but LESS suited for seeing your own render weight change as you try on clothing/hairs/etc in your own home.

Features:
-----------------------------------------------------------------

* Monitor and act on both script and render weight/impact in a consistent and convenient way.

* Easy to use, will immediately work after rezzing in your place. advanced usage is optional.

* Lightweight, no-nonsense, just does the job. No central servers, websites, HUD givers, spam, etc.

* Free updates

* Does not use a sensor.

* Can scan one parcel, all parcels in a region with the same owner, or a region. Can additionally, optionally, limit inclusion of avatars to a range in meters.

* "1 char per face" text display is deliberately chosen, at a small increase in land impact, to minimize texture usage. This is because "2 chars per face" text displays, while reducing land impact, have a high texture usage, by using up to 60 different textures, giving them a large "hidden cost". It still has a very modest land impact of only 13.

* Only 1 script, and lag optimized scripting design

* Object is mod perm, to resize, customize, set your own background texture, etc.

* Object is copy perm. rez as many as you want, no risk of losing no-copy objects, etc.

* Displays, and can act on, total number of scripts, and script time, and either render weight or script memory. each threshold value can be changed.

* Threshold at which an avatar will display as yellow, can be set, as a percentage of the threshold values at which an avatar will display as red.

* A config notecard inside is used to change a large number of behavior settings. Settings are automatically picked up after saving notecard.

* Can warn and teleport home avatars (disabled by default, can be enabled as a setting). Works in group owned land, using an easy to use "teleport home module". Can use estate manager access. Warning message is customizable with the ability to use custom fields to show values.

* Can send a message on a configurable channel when it would eject an avatar, so one's own scripting can process it. This can be done whether or not the monitor ejects avatars. The message defaults to saying the avatar's key and name, but is customizable with the option to add many fields to the message.

* Can warn and eject avatars in the entire region if you have estate owner or manager access.

* a list of avatar keys can be set that will be exempt from being displayed, warned, and ejected.

* group members can optionally be exempt from being warned/ejected, or also from being displayed.

* optional anti graphics crasher feature (disabled by default) immediately ejects very high render avatars.

* Uses mesh

It's a precious product to show to those silly ones that say my SIM is laggy when they are just heavy like rocks because of their HUDs and terribly high rendering cost, in fact, I just love this panel shows rendering cost too. You will be very satisfied with this panel. Thank you HaxWorx!
