Stranger Things - an Exosphere Holodeck Scene

This is an Exosphere Holodeck Scene and requires it to be installed in the Exosphere Holodeck .

Get ready to take a trip to the Upside Down. Something is in there... waiting for you... following you.. but can you make it back? Stranger things have happened around these parts.

Let's turn that dial up to Eleven!

They've seen it. I've seen it, too. Now, you're going to see it. Something strange is happening in Hawkings County. Those kids know where to look. You've followed them to the old cottage, deep in the woods. Their bikes are lying abandoned in the corner of the field, but where have the kids gone? And is that something I can see moving around in the pit out the back?

The Cottage.
Enter from the Holodeck and through into the rear of the old cottage. There's a beaten up old sofa, a table and chair here. On the wall are some flashing fairy lights.. Could it be some sort of messaging system? And there's books and newspaper cuttings around, Looks like someone was doing some research. If you look out through the window, you can see a bright light out in the woods. Maybe you should go outside and check it out. Touch the door to open it.

The Forest.
Out in the field, there's a shed or barn of some kind. Those kids have abandoned their bikes here, but there's no sign of the kids themselves. Where can they be? And what's that glowing light over there in the middle of the field?

The Pit.
Ok, this is seriously weird. Someone has been digging a pit out here in the wood and they've rigged up some spotlights to illuminate a large hole. And what are those.. "things" squirming around in it? Are they roots?... tendrils... or tentacles? They're thrashing around like they're alive. Whatever you do, don't touch them or you may find yourself in the Upside Down.

The Upside Down.
Welcome to a new dimension. Over your head, the sky is full of strange, moving clouds, pulsing with weird lights. Huge tentacles reach down from above and try to grab you. There's gnarled trees everywhere (is that a face?) And there's something else in here, with you. Something evil. You may catch a glimpse of it as it moves slowly through the grasses.

Getting back.
You'll need to find the portal to get back to normality. Touch the correct place and wait until the burning light appears. Then touch the light to get back. Don't wait too long, or the portal will close. Once you're back, head for the cottage. The wall at the end of the cottage has taken on a strange appearance, but walk straight into the mouth and you'll end up back in your Holodeck.

All you have to do now is to find someone who will believe your story.

As with all the Exosphere Holodeck scenes, everything gets cleared away when you select "clear" from the Holodeck menu.

Installing your Holodeck Scene
To install your new scene, rezz the Scene Install box next to your Holodeck controls. Then touch the Scene Installer panel on the Holodeck. The scene will install automatically.
