An update to my original MultiPorter, this version includes prettier light effects, more efficient scripting, and is compiled for the new, faster Mono script engine. This teleporter will fit any modern or futuristic environment.

Ilse's MultiPorter is probably the easiest multi-destination teleport system you'll ever have to set up. Just rez a copy of the teleporter, give it a name, and you're done. It automatically locates other MultiPorters and adds them to its destination list, if they're in the same sim and have the same owner. There is no set limit to the number of MultiPorters you can rez in a sim.

KEY FEATURES

No Crosstalk - Other multi-teleport systems get confused if two people owning the same system set them up in the same sim. My MultiPorter is smart enough to keep each owner's network separate.

Simple Setup - Rez a MultiPorter, give it a name, and you're done. There are no notecards to edit, and no "servers" to rez.

Fast - Unlike some systems, my MultiPorter presents you with its menu immediately when touched, without needing 10-20 seconds to "build the menu." Movement between positions is done using the nearly-instantaneous WarpPos technique.

Unlimited Number - Many teleport systems use a lazy menu that only lets you put 12 destinations in a sim. My MultiPorter intelligently recognizes when there are more than 12 destinations, and uses a multi-page menu to list them. The only limit is the amount of script memory, and it would take a LOT of MultiPorters to hit that.

Unlimited Range - Some teleporters get confused or just don't work if their destinations are more than 300 meters away. My MultiPorter will take you between any two points in a sim, no matter how far apart, up to SL's maximum build height of 4096 meters. (That's right, 4096!)

Attractive Design - My MultiPorters aren't your plain old ugly TPers. They come in a variety of themes to suit any location.

Setup is so easy that it feels a little ridiculous to give instructions (kind of like instructions on shampoo), but here goes.

SETUP INSTRUCTIONS

1 - Rez a copy of the MultiPorter. Place it exactly where you want it.
2 - Edit the MultiPorter and give it a new name like "Bedroom" or "Ilse's Palace" (without the quote marks). This is the name that will show up in the teleport menu.
3 - Go to the next location where you want to install a MultiPorter.
4 - Repeat steps 1 through 3 as necessary.

ADVANCED SETUP

If you want, you can have multiple teleport networks in the same sim, or lock a teleporter to only respond to the owner or to group members. Here's how.

Separate Networks

The channel that the teleporters use to find each other can be set in the object description. To have two independent networks in the same sim, just give the second network a different channel than the first by changing the number in the description, which is the part just before the "~" (tilde). Make sure you edit the teleporter and do "Tools->Reset Scripts in Selection" to reset the scripts after setting a new channel. You can use any number but 0.

Group or Owner Access

To restrict a teleporter to owner or group access only, change the word "everyone" in the teleporter's description to say "owner" or "group" (this is the part after the "~" tilde). Then reset the scripts by editing the teleporter and going to "Tools->Reset Scripts in Selection".

PERMISSIONS

The scripts are copy, no mod, no trans. So you can set up MultiPorter networks in as many sims as you like.
The objects are copy, mod, no trans. This allows you to change the appearance of the MultiPorter to suit your preferences.
