fantastie
I bought this polynesian tiki hut a couple weeks ago and it is totally fantastic!!!
Beautiful Execution
Not to over do it, but this build is gorgeous. One of my top 5 buys in SL yet. I've wasted so many $L in search of THIS. I've been looking for an open air, gathering point for my friends.. So open, and the whole tropical island paradise 'feel' is palpable. Thank you Jenuwin Jinx!
Fantastic structure. Great for modding.
I knew a place that had one of these, and it really made the focal point of our beach setting, so when the time came to move, I had to buy one for myself. The texture and sculpt quality is excellent.
You can mod the hell out of this thing. I extracted wooden floors to make paths along the sand, wooden walkways to create bridges and other bits and pieces to go around and inside the hut itself. I even built walls around the bottom posts to make a ground-level room and a walkway in the roof to make a cosy attic. This isn't just an elaborate tiki hut, but a whole building kit if you know what you're doing!
Just a few minor details to note: the two fire torches and the plant pots are no-modify which is a bit of a shame, but not a big deal. Also, since most of the structure is sculpted, it comes in two components: one solid and one phantom. If you're a perfectionist like me, and a good modder, you can make some of these parts non-phantom and simulate the rest with invisible prims.
5*
I bought this Indo-Caribbean Escape, and would recommend that you do too. The build quality is fantastic 5*
