PBR Viewer Settings:
• Disable attached lights (face & body)
• Set Max nearby lights to zero / disable local lights
• Set reflection coverage to none if you are in a reflection probe
• Use a white background with "Full Bright" enabled. White background included
• Attach the white background to your avatar if you are at a no-rez sim.
Edit it so it's positioned directly behind your avatar.

How to Use:
Save your camera position in case you accidentally move
Take your photo as you normally do, using your preferred settings. Save snapshot to disk.
If you are at a rez-free sim you can rezz the white background behind you.
If you are at a no-rez sim simply attach it to your avatar & edit it, placing it behind you like a wall.
Enable "full bright" to your white background.
Change the settings I mentioned above.
Take a second snapshot using this windlight. Save snapshot to disk.
Now you have 2 saved snapshots. a normal photo and one with a black silhouette
Use a photo editing program such as photoshop/gimp so you can work using layers
You can either "cut out" your avatar and add it to another background layer or create a fake DOF/blur effect behind your avatar

✧ Tested in the following PBR viewers: Firestorm, Alchemy, SL Official Viewer

I saw the video tutorial on youtube and tried to follow it to see if it really worked. I must say that not only it's very useful for adding a shadow behind but it is also a great help for contouring quickly and cleanly!
I highly recommend taking it especially for those who are just starting out ♥
