Please Note: A copy/mod only version of this product is also available.

Viewing In-World is highly recommended - see the link below.

Rustic Medieval fireplace with fire and smoke, modular construction and 'projector' lighting with shadows (at higher graphics settings).

Turns on/off with a touch. When on, the chimney emits smoke and the embers glow.

Please Note: The fireplace may appear to be 'on' when rezzed, but this is just the animated texture. Touch once to turn on fully, then again to turn off.

[Mesh]
7 primary mesh components, with two bonus firewood meshes (because there was unused UV space!). The chimney meshes are modular, enabling you to build it up as high as you need.

When assembled with an 8m high chimney, total LI is 7. LI for individual components as follows:

Fire - 0.8 LI
Fireplace - 2.5 LI
Lightplane/Projector Light - 0.5 LI
Chimney Base - 0.8 LI
Chimney Main - 2.1 LI
Chimney Shaft - 1.3 LI
Chimney Top - 0.8 LI
Firewood - 0.5 LI

The chimney meshes will all snap together seamlessly (they have invisible triangles to control pivot points).

The Lightplane mesh is designed to sit inside the fireplace, behind the back wall. It will cast shadows if enabled in your graphics settings (Advanced Graphics Preferences>Shadows: Sun/Moon+Projectors). If not, you may wish to tweak the 'FOV' value and adjust its position for best results.

IMPORTANT: Be very careful with linking and unlinking, as the scripts rely on the link order numbers to function correctly. Please follow this order when selecting components to be linked:
1. All Chimney pieces
2. Chimney_Top
3. FP_Lightplane (the projector light)
4. Fireplace
5. FP_Fire

They are numbered in descending order, ie: FP_Fire is (#1).
More info on link numbers: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LlGetLinkNumber

You may find it easier to separate components, then move them into the correct position after linking (especially to get at the projector light).

You CAN link it into larger builds. Select the rest of the build, then follow the order above. This has been tested with one of the houses from Jammin's Medieval Construction set, and all scripts (including doors and windows) function correctly. Linking with other scripted builds is at your own risk, so please be careful.

[Texture]
There are 3 texture/material sets: Rocktile (for the main surfaces of the fireplace and chimney, Trim (all other stonework), and the Fire. The fire mesh is scripted to switch between lit and unlit diffuse textures when turned on/off. Both are applied to triangles hidden inside the mesh to keep them cached.

Rocktile: 512x512 - Diffuse, Normal and Specular Maps.
Trim: 1024x512 - Diffuse, Normal and Specular Maps.
Fire: 512x128 - 2x Diffuse, 1x Normal Maps.

The full permissions version includes AO maps for Rocktile and Trim.

[Script]
The primary script is a modified version of 'Realfire' by Rene10957, licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported (CC BY 3.0) License (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/).

Touching turns the fire and light on/off, Long-touch (Touch and hold) to bring up a menu to adjust size, sound etc.

A config notecard controls several properties, including default size of the particle flames, and access control (enabling you to restrict access to the owner, or group etc).
