Permissions and Customization:

While the scripts in the actual dagger are copy-only to prevent certain data from being seen (mostly the texture UUID used when drawing and sheathing the dagger), there are copies of the swordfighting and draw /sheathe scripts independent of the dagger that are full permissions to allow the customer to play around with it. The dagger, itself, is copy-only, with all of its contents being copy-only as well. I eventually plan to make a copy/mod version of this Dagger available, complete with texture and UV Maps that the customer may use to make their own textures and colors for the Dagger.

Textures

The Keris Dagger makes use of both legacy/traditional textures and PBR materials. If your viewer has PBR capability, you will see the dagger with PBR materials. If your viewer does not have PBR capability, you will see only the legacy/traditional textures.

To Operate the Dagger:

IMPORTANT NOTE - It's possible your AO may interfere with the dagger' animations. If you find this happening, please remove your AO to receive the full effect of the dagger' animations.
IMPORTANT NOTE #2: Before you can operate the weapon, you must touch the weapon when you equip it and choose which control scheme you prefer. The available control schemes will be explained below.

The Control Schemes

KKP’s Beginner’s Katana comes with two control schemes:
1. The Standard Control Scheme
a. When in Mouselook, you hold down the left mouse button while pressing on the movement keys to activate the sword strikes.
b. This is a classic melee weapon setup that is still used in many combat systems.

2. The Third Person Mode Control Scheme/TSOAT Control Scheme
a. In order to keep the left mouse button open and available for mouse steering, instead of holding down the left mouse button, the player holds down the forward movement key in conjunction with the other movement keys to activate the sword strikes.
b. I came up with this control scheme on my own in order to make Third Person Mode Melee Combat a viable feature, as I can not abide Mouselook Mode, so finding combat systems that make use of this control scheme will be difficult, to say the least.
c. If you like this control scheme and/or have ideas on how to improve upon it, please feel free to leave a comment in the reviews. I’m fully open to suggestions that can help me make this system better and more fun for others to use.

Dealing Damage:

If you actually want to deal and take damage while using this dagger, you will need the following:
A health meter and combat HUD that works and deals damage based on the detection of the control scheme you're using. Plenty of combat systems out there use the Standard Control Scheme. Hence, it's why I call it the "standard" scheme. The DCS 2 Combat System is one such system that operates by detecting whether or not the player uses the Standard Control Scheme. I believe CCS2 is also a system that operates by detecting the use of the Standard Control Scheme. There are probably others that I'm not aware of that operate this way.
However, my Third Person Control Scheme is something I came up with on my own. So it won't be found used in other combat systems. Hence, I built my own system to compensate for that. It's called The School Of All Trades RP System, or TSOAT RP for short.
