The Kassturm Mailbox is a versatile, effective mail box so you can easily receive questions, comments, suggestions and more from your client-base; it even works for personal use in your home if you have lots of visitors!

- Easily receive notecard mail from friends, store visitors, clients and more!
- Mail can be instantly delivered or stored for pickup.
- Allow group members to retrieve mail.
- Set an alternate name (great for stores and businesses!) in the Floating Text!
- IM notifcations of new mail.
- Optional thank you message for depositors of mail.
- Auto-delete or keep non-notecard mail.
- Scripts can be copied and placed in your own prims! We've supplied a 5 prim default design but the possibilities are endless.

For the builders in you we've also made the scripts copyable so they can be placed in your own prims for a customized look! While you can't sell these creations (the scripts are not transferable) it gives you the freedom to create your own, unique designs!

The mailbox is copy so use as many as you need!

Set-Up
=====
Rez and you are good to go! By default the mailbox has a nice setup for a regular single user (you, the owner); it will store all NC's in the mail box until you collect them, thank the person leaving the NC for doing so, IM you when they drop a new notecard into the mail box, and will delete any non-notecard deposits.

If you want to set specifics, such as allowing group access, setting a Business name, etc, then edit the _Config file in the mail box contents. We recommend taking it into your inventory as a backup first.

Any time you update the _Config file, you will need to reset the script. To do this, right-click and Edit the mailbox, then select Tools -> Reset Scripts in Selection from your SL client window.

Customizing
========
"New Mail" notecard: This is the notecard given to someone when they click the mail box. They can use this to write their note and drop it back onto the mailbox for you. Edit this notecard to change the default wording or instructions -- perhaps to add an estimated turnaround time for a response etc.

"_Config" notecard: See "Set-Up" section above.

There are 2 scripts the mailbox uses. "KassturmMailBox v1.0" is in the Contents and may be copied and placed in a prim you design. The second script is called "FlagUpDown" and is in the red flag prim; get to this using "Edit Linked Parts" in your Build window.

"FlagUpDown" script: I left this modify as your own prim designs may require it to do something different or rotate on a different axis.

Whenever the mail box detects a change in the Contents of the mailbox that are additional notecards, it sends a linked message to all the child prims with the string "Flag Up". When mail is collected (and thus no new notecards are waiting), "Flag Down" is sent to all child prims. You can certainly create a custom script to do something different when these commands are heard through linked messages.
