Great for a G&S farm. It just works! Substantially reduces LI needed for shared storage.
I use these for a small G&S farm and it works really well. It has reduced the number of prims I need for being able to store and share items with my friends by a significant amount and keeps my little kitchen looking tidy without big bunches of individual boxes. The objects it comes with are nice enough or you can move the scripts into an object of your own.
The system works really well and I give it 5 stars in that it does exactly what it says, simply and easily and I've never yet encountered a problem.
If the designer were interested in suggestions to make it even better, I would offer -
1. to allow (a) authorization by group; and/or (b) authorization of users via their username or UUID key, as it can be inconvenient sometimes to wait until both the object owner and the avatar they want to authorize are both online and in the same place. But once that authorization is done it works fine. and
2. an option to allow you to request multiples of an item in one menu transaction, rather than one at a time. (e.g. so that you can ask for 10 sacks of grain, rather than asking for a sack 10 times).
Perfect to storage G&S
I am using G&S on a roleplay sim and this is just perfect to storage all the stuff into a single prim and have controll who can take stuff out of it. I can put different things in it like fish, flour, jam or meat, all together in a single object. The menu shows me whats inside and howmany of each item. The only thing I don't like is the look of the givers. It looks very... freebie like. So I took the skript and the notecard out of it and put it into another furniture, mostly cupboards or shelves. That works perfect. I never get an error or trouble with
