Kraken Tech Vehicle Version 1
The "Kraken" Tech Vehicle is an exciting personal transport you'll see in the skies over Second Life. It uses powerful, antigravity technology and jet thrusters to transport you effortlessly through the atmosphere. But it's equally at home flying in space or even under the sea. The pilot seat has menu-driven pose adjustments to accommodate different avatar shapes. You can learn to fly it in just a few seconds.
Features include:
- Easy to control
- Travels through the air, under the water and in outer space
- Switches automatically from flight to submarine
- Adjustable pilot seat
- Three powerful headlights
- Sound effects, rear flame plume, bubbles, canopy controls
- Public version included so anyone can pilot it
- DNA-locked version included for owner's use only
Flying the "Kraken".
Touch the vehicle or right-click the pilot seat and select "pilot". Once you're seated, wait a second or two while you listen to the powerful anti-grav engines kick in as you hover gently. Now, you can move by using the forward/backward arrow keys to adjust the speed, use the left/right turn arrow keys to steer, and use the PgUp and PgDn keys to climb and descend. Once you're moving, you'll see the thrust jet streaming from the rear as you fly. You can continue to fire the thrusters and move forward as long as you keep your finger on the forward arrow and you can even steer as you accelerate.
Hold the Ctrl key down as you use the left/right arrow keys to perform a sideways movement. You can carry out some cool sideways-sliding moves once you've got the hang of it.
Journey to the Bottom of the Sea
If you fly your vehicle into the sea, it will automatically switch to "submarine-mode". The glass canopy will snap itself shut, the rear jet flame will turn off, the three headlights will switch on full beam and bubbles will start to rise from the engines. When you exit the water, the bubbles will stop and the thrust jet will reignite.
Driver Canopy
You can open or close the driver's glass canopy dome by typing "OPEN KRAKEN" or "CLOSE KRAKEN". It's probably not a good idea to open it while you're underwater or in space.
Adjustable pilot seat
You can adjust the position of the pilot pose for whatever size avatar you use. Once you are seated, type "/1 menu" and an adjustment menu will appear, with buttons for nudging the pose up/down and forwards/backwards. Once it's adjusted for your avi, the Kraken will remember your settings the next time you get on. It will remember the positions for up to 32 different avatars and it automatically applys them whenever they use it.
Landing.
You can use the PageDown key to descend. Take it easy or you'll hit the floor and bounce back up. Once you have landed simply stand up and you'll hear the anti-grav engine cut out automatically. When parked, the vehicle will normally place itself into a low hovering position.
Parking.
If you stand up while you’re still flying, the vehicle will turn off any forward motion and lock its vertical and geo-stationary position. So, you can park next to a high landing platform or the top of a docking column by hopping out of your pilot's seat when you're in position. It's then safe leave the vehicle.
Security.
The vehicle is DNA-locked, a security feature that allows only the owner to fly it. You won't have any worries of someone else jumping on and flying off with it after you've parked it.

I enjoy this one
So not as cool looking as the spider/crab like crawler, but a fun low prim vehicle that is versatile as a street vehicle, small shuttle and ocean going craft. Given I have all 3 environments on my sim, I plan on using this vehicle a lot.
