A Notecard Auto Group Switcher That Constantly Does The Job
full star full star full star full star full star Posted May 01, 2025 by BobCates

This is a notecard base auto group switcher. It uses a notecard that once set up, works flawlessly. Data for the notecard needed are the sim name and group name and are in the format of sim name above group name followed by a blank line. Then the next sim and and group name and so on.

I did have an issue trying to find the HUD after attaching to a part of the screen. After contacting the creator, I found out that if you don't want to attach the HUD to an avatar's body, it's best to attach the HUD first to the avatar's body, then resize the HUD to a really large size, then detach and attach again to place on the screen and then resize.

With version 1.0, I ran into a situation where upon logging on to my HOME location, the HUD didn't switch to the correct group. After I notified the creator, that was quickly fixed with a newer version.

Now with version 1.1, the HUD is always watching and ready to do it's job (whether teleporting, on attachment, or at logon).

If you are looking for notecard based auto group switcher, you really can't go wrong with this one.
