Land Impact ED209
-- keep your parcels and sandboxes clean with finesse
The Land Impact ED209 manages forgotten builds and product boxes on your parcels and sandboxes with more finesse than just setting your parcel auto return.
Add avatars to a whitelist to exclude them from both time and land impact limits.
Set a specific land impact limit for everyone that is not part of the whitelist.
Set a specific time limit in minutes for everyone that is not part of the whitelist.
Time limits are not enforced until the avatar has left the region or logged out.
Group deeded objects that are in the same group as the 209 are automatically whitelisted.
The time limit gives avatars time to return to finish their builds.
Avatars are warned when they reach the limit. If the time or land impact limit is exceeded by 10%, the objects are then returned.
Land Impact ED209 comes boxed with 2 copyable, no transfer devices and 4 no copy, transferable devices for group owned land.
Group Owned Land:
To use the 209 with group owned land you must deed a 209 to the group after accepting the object return permissions. This only works if you are in the owner role of the group. It may be possible for members of the group who have object return rights set in their role though this has not been confirmed. It's best to give a 209 to one who is in the owner role and have them accept the permissions request and then deed it to group.
Group deed procedure: Rez the 209 and accept the object return permissions dialog. Click share in the general tab of the edit dialog and click deed. The 209 will ask again for return permissions. After accepting, it will will go form being colored red to being white. You do need to be in the group's owner role for this. If you are not in the owner role and are still able to deed to group you can, however a group owner will have to then touch the object to accept permission to return objects. You may also give a 209 to the group owner to rez, deed to group and accept object return permissions. If you need to move the object either request that ability in the group from someone who can assign it or the owner can move it for you. This ability is also required to edit the settings notecard.
The whitelist is saved in a notecard named settings inside the 209. To add avatars into the whitelist, you put 1 avatar key per line into the notecard. The last line of the notecard specifies the limits of time and land impact ie. 20,100 which is time, land impact. If you do not know the key of an avatar, you may have them touch the 209 which will make it chat their key in local chat.
Touching the 209 also chats a url that will connect and give you a suggested whitelist to copy and paste into the settings notecard. This is simply a list of every avatar's key who at the time has something rezzed on the parcel. It's a convenient way to make the whitelist being that the parcel is in a "clean" state.
Multiple 209s may be used to enforce different limits for different avatars. The 209 with the shortest limits will have a whitelist in it that designates who gets a longer time set by another 209. You may continue to do this as needed.
Add the "casperlet land impact key updater" script to any casperlet you have rezzed in the region if you want to automatically whitelist tenants! This relieves renters of the need to join a group in order to place their objects out. You may leave the option on for everyone to build on your land and let the 209 manage trash objects for you. This also relieves you of the need to run a group inviter bot!
