What did I rez?

Do you ask yourself that from time to time?

This gadget will help you find out. If you wonder why you had, say, 177 prims available and now you have 153 and do not know why, that's where this "What did I rez?" (wdir) comes in.

First, rez it out in world. If it's the copy you were given from marketplace or an in-world vendor, you will be given this notecard.

The wdir has 2 modes: auto and manual:

auto:

This mode will automatically whitelist everything you have rezzed on your parcel of land. Use this when you want to mark everything rezzed as "acceptable".

manual:

This mode will ask you about every object it finds: Whether to whitelist it not. If you find the "offending" object, click found if you do not plan on keeping the object out on your land.

To get to these modes, right click the wdir and choose touch. A dialog will appear to choose the mode. There are also 2 other buttons:

reset: clear the whitelist and start over fresh.

help: get this notecard.

Once you have chosen your mode, sit on the wdir to start the scan. The wdir will find all nearby objects that are on the same parcel and once it finds them all it will continue to go upward to 4096m to find more. When it has reached that height it will return to the ground for another pass. Stand to pause the scanning. The wdir will follow your avatar at that point. If you have a no entry land in between parts of land you own in the region just continue to fly there if the wdir cannot follow you .. Once you get to another parcel you can rez on, the wdir will "teleport" past the no entry land to get to you.

The wdir also shows a floattext number above it. This is the total land impact of all the objects it has added to the whitelist. You can compare that to the total used land impact in about land to see if it has found everything.

When you are finished whitelisting and finding out what objects you have forgotten about on your parcel, Rename the wdir to such like "What did I rez? - main store" and take it. You will use this copy of the wdir later when you again wonder: What did I rez?

The wdir scans at 96m radius of a sphere and moves up 32 meters to find more until it gets to 4096m. You may have to stand and fly to another corner of your parcel if it is large to have it also scan there as well. When it finds an object, it also scans from that position as well. Each scan pass can only find 16 objects that are the closest to that point so by scanning again and again it does a pretty good job of finding everything.
