Larsson Color Me Cute Rowboat For Easy Fun On Water! Version 3.3

In his wonderful book Wind in the Willows, author A.A. Miline wrote, "Believe me, my young friend, there is nothing – absolutely nothing – half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats.”

This cute little rowboat is your antidote to civilization.

Step 1. Rez your rowboat and wear your oars. The oars will automatically be attached to your hands. They can be touched to resize if needed. Adjust hand position on your avatar after sitting in the boat. Also, it is good idea to make copies of my original oars before you move them in your hands so you always have oars with my original hand position settings.

Step 2. When you sit your avatar is placed in the classic rowboat rowing position facing the stern of the boat. Your view will follow behind the boat at 7.5 meters as you move about. There are also 3 graceful follower views - see Step 10 below.

Step 3. If you need to rescale the boat, just touch the gray "Samson Post" mooring bollard at the bow to get the blue on-screen rescale menu for the boat. Each oar can also be rescaled by touching each to get the on-screen rescale menu. Boat has LW = 10. Oars LW = 1 each oar. Touch the oars when want them invisible, then retouch anytime to make them visible again.

Step 4. Use your page up and down keys to control the rowing speed. There are three speeds from 1 (slow) to 3 (not so fast). You will see your speed selection reported in private chat each time you change speed.

I did give this cute little boat "cruise control." Key "hold" or "release" in open chat or /5 chat when you just want to coast along at the rowing speed you select.

Step 5. Control direction using the controller arrows on your keyboard or on your viewer screen.

Step 6. Notice there is a rowing animation only when you are moving, and when you stop there is a relaxed stationary resting oars sit position with a gentle side to side head movement. You go back and forth between these animations whenever you stop or start with your motion control.

Step 7. The twenty (20) colors definitely live up to the "Color Me Cute" name for this boat. The outside of the boat hull will change colors, and notice that the wood trim, the seats, and the interior hull will remain the classic original wood trim texture.

You change the hull colors by saying the color name in chat channel #5. For example keying /5white in the open chat line at the bottom of your viewer will change the hull to white. Using the /5 channel merely hides these commands from others nearby you so you don't clutter the chat with your instructions (its also a lot more convenient than messing with an on-screen hud).

The twenty colors are: white, red, blue, yellow, orange, green, olive, teal, purple, navy, silver, gray, black, maroon, aqua, lime, fuchia, pink, brown, and indigo,

Step 8. Take a friend with you. There is a relaxing seat in the stern (rear seat). Passenger will sit facing the bow toward the rower. Both rower and passenger seats are adjustable using the AVSitter menu whenever you sit.

Step 9. Check out the two puppies and the spare oars. Each item can be made visible or invisible as you like by touching them. The dogs bark when you key "w" on channel 5. You can also sound a bosun's signal whistle by keying "s" on channel 5.

Step 10. There are three graceful follower views you can select. Use regular chat or /5 chat to key "v1" for view behind stern or "v2" for view from a little bit higher behind the stern or "v3" for a more elevated and sweeping view from behind the boat. All three views make for a wonderfully peaceful voyage on any SL waterway.
