This has been a very popular vehicle since first released in 2018. Version 9.7 release date was January 10, 2025. Release features driver selection of front wheel or all wheel steering.

Hydro-Hauler was designed to work well under most challenging situations. It is widely used for freight delivery by members of GTFO! grid-wide freight group. It handles border crossings in ways that sometimes like feel there is no border at all.

A carefully tested algorithm adjusts handling to speed you select. When you change gear speeds it accurately tells you (1) gear speed, (2) m/s power, and (3) my coefficient for active steering. This is reported to you in owner chat when you change speed.

There are 12 forward speeds and 3 reverse On-screen jump up/down arrows on your viewer to change forward gear speeds.

On rezzing, Hydro-Hauler is set to front wheel steering. Use chat or /3 private chat to key "aws" so rear wheels also steer to assist in rough terrain such as rock climbing. Key "fws" to return to normal front wheel steering at any time.

Key 'hold' or 'release' in chat or private chat /3 to turn cruise control on or off at speeds you select with speed control.

Key "stop" in public chat or /3 private chat to stop and key "start" to resume driving.

Control view you want. Key "v1" for behind vehicle, "v2" for just behind driver, or "v3" for driver view. And of course this comes in handy because SL region glitches screw up driver views. Now you are in control when SL screws up your driving view, just key for view you want to get it right back! Key these commands to vehicle in public chat or private /3 channel.

Key "b" in chat or /3 for friendly "beep beep" horn..

Both driver and front passenger seats are fully adjustable using standard AV Sitter menu when you sit. Driver can also choose to sit on bow or stern, lay back on bow, or fish on bow. Passenger has one relaxed pose that also works for holding fishing pole. You can only carry one passenger up front, since back seating area is used for cargo boxes that appear and disappear with preloaded GTFO! api script.

Touch windshield to raise or lower it.

Key "cover" or "uncover" in /3 private chat to control visibility of canvas cover.

At stern a special anti-fouling propeller is keyed to speed and direction of vehicle.

Touch light button on dash board to turn headlights on and off. Headlights work with SL advanced lighting so be sure to activate advanced lighting in your viewer graphics preferences to see this illumination. You will hear electronic signal when you touch on/off light button.

There is water spray from propeller and from front tire area splashing under past back tires when you drive into water. For realism the spray/splash disappears shortly after you drive back onto land and appears when you move in water and if you come to a stop spray also stops. You will also notice exhaust is vented via the propeller shaft.

You will hear engine start up and then go into idle as you sit to drive and exhaust smoke will begin to be vented from the propeller shaft. Engine sounds and exhaust end when driver stands.

Vehicle is preloaded for current GTFO! (v1.9.2). Whenever GTFO group updates its api scripting I always update my vehicles immediately. Just do a redelivery on SL Marketplace or message me directly if you need assistance.

GTFO! provides separate VAPI codes for deliveries to water and land hubs. So in box are two models each clearly named for land or water deliveries. However, I have noticed that it does not seem to make any difference which code you use for water or land deliveries, either one seems to work just fine. In any event you have vehicles with both codes all set and ready in box.

1) For deliveries to land hubs. VAPI is LLHYDROHLR

2) For deliveries to water hubs. VAPI is LLHYDROWET

You can easily cross over land such as peninsulas and obstructions such as islands when making water deliveries, and when making land deliveries you can cut across rivers and streams and lakes and other bodies of water. Indeed there is a certain great satisfaction at being able to do this. It can also be a practical way to save delivery time.

You will notice six cargo items load and unload automatically. But if you like just double touch each item to make it visible whenever you want to see cargo items. You can also do this with the extra gas tank. Touch to make it visible or invisible as desired.
