The Larsson Tandem Kayak offers you one of the most happy and sublime experiences exploring wonderful places.
Kayak follows classic lines with a hard-shell enclosed deck featuring two cockpits (one for each paddler).
Owner sits in stern seat, guest sits in forward seat. Tandem kayaks are always steered by person seated in stern position. Rear position provides both a better view and greater leverage for effective steering.
Accordingly, this kayak is always steered by owner in stern seat. There are two paddling animations. Owner first sits into my original holding paddle at rest animation. When motion arrows are used animation automatically changes to my original graceful and authentic looking kayak paddling animation. Animation returns automatically to rest position whenever you release forward or reverse controls.
Guest in forward position sees animation menu when seated and can select rest or paddling animation as desired at any time. Both seats feature AVsitter and are fully adjustable.
Owner selects from seven forward speeds and one reverse speed using page up/down arrows. Selected speed levels are reported to owner in private chat.
If needed you can rescale kayak to your liking by touching black skeg (tracking fin) underneath hull at stern of kayak. My rescale menu will appear on your viewer screen.
Be sure to wear your paddle. There is a paddle included in box, and you and your guest can receive one anytime by touching storage pack at stern of kayak. Paddle appears in right hand when worn and animation expects it there where I wore it in my hand as I made animation. You can reposition it if you like. You can adjust scale of paddle if needed by touching paddle scoop end. Rescale menu will appear on viewer screen.
You can change top deck color of kayak by keying one of nine color options in /5 chat channel: canary, sky, lime, red, orange, white, carbon, pink, or green. Color selections for paddle are same but use /7 channel so you can control kayak and paddle colors separately to mix or match colors.
Your view as you sit is close behind kayak at an angle of 30 degrees down to give you a calm and complete perspective on kayak and surroundings as you paddle.
Indeed, this kayak gives you complete control of your view as you paddle. You can select among six views of kayak as you paddle using my keyboard view control. Using public chat or private /5 chat channel, you can select your view with these six commands:
Keying "v1" gives view from behind stern.
Keying "v2 gives view from behind paddler.
Keying "v3" gives view from paddler's eyes.
Keying "v4" gives view from bow of kayak.
Keying "v5" gives slightly elevated view from stern.
Keying "v6" gives somewhat more elevated view from stern.
As you move in water you will hear sound of hull moving in water and see water movement around skeg at stern of kayak. Both start and stop with motion control of stern paddler.
Also please notice there is an advanced lighting spotlight on bow for night time voyages. Touch lens of light to toggle light on or off. Be sure to activate advanced lighting in your viewer graphic preferences to use this feature.
One more feature you will enjoy is cruise control. Key "hold" in chat or /5 private chat to activate cruise control. You will see a private chat message confirming your ability to hold kayak on speed level you select and can change speed level up or down anytime. Key "release" anytime you want to return to normal operation of your keyboard controls.
