A grand French Louis XVI style Trumeau mirror, the top portion decorated with an oil painting of court's life.
The term "trumeau" is actually an architectural term designating the space between two vertical elements in a room that needed to be filled with something. Because lighting an interior was a great challenge, during the eighteenth century, the use of mirrors was an integral part of any room.
Louis XVI Style, giltwood. 100% Mesh.
