The Routemaster bus is part of London and England. This red double decker is available to you to drive and become your own 'bus driver'.

This bus is 'modifiable' so you can change the logo and colour to suit yourself and listen to the rattling AEC AV590 9.6 L bus engine, 'bell pull' and start up ignition. Headlights and interior lights turn on and off too, so this could even be a Night Bus or be made into a double decker version of Hogwart's Knight Bus.

The bus itself is a mesh item of 27 prims.

  • Driveable using HUD
  • Authentic sound effects of engine, bell and ignition
  • Interior seating room for passengers
  • Modifiable Logo & Colour
  • Lights and lighting effects

Disappointing and really 45 prims.

This bus was disappointing. It clamed to be 19 prims (land impact) but it was really 45 prims! I was able to unlink the lights and shrink it smaller and bring it down to 23 prims. It has poor LOD and it turns into an ugly box as soon as you get a short distance from it. It is made from one big mesh rather than having all of the parts separate and linked together (other than the lights), so there is no way to unlink the seats and delete them. The seats can be textured separately and I was able to give them a transparent texture, and since they are "phantom" it was as if they were not there, but the stairs and steering wheel also share the seat texture, so both the stairs and steering wheel also became invisible with the seats. Also, making the seats transparent did not reduce the prims (land impact). I got this bus because it was "modifiable", unfortunately it was not modifiable in any useful ways, it cost a lot (L$995), and it was way more prims than advertised. There are other nicer double decker busses on SL.
