Yeah, but
Yeah, it's beautiful and all, but make your advertising clearer, someone bought me it thinking it was both bodies (female AND male) because of the "for him & her" and the bodies advertised together, and now I have a male body that I don't even use because my ava is female. Great.
A great avatar base
Up front i used this for an anthro avatar, a Whisk mod to be specific, so my experience with this will be very different than someone who used this for a human avatar. I see some people mentioning they cant enable BOM, its in the Style section of the hud (middle orb), click the settings slider icon on the right of the icons bar, and theres a little button in there that says "Apply BOM". I dont actually know how that works, it seemed to pull the skin from the mod kit i was using fine. There is a neck seam thats present but that can also be related to the head i chose which is irrelevant, but there are a few neck options that let you change that shape.
Playing around with the regular body sliders and such worked well with this body, i got good results out of it.
I really like the alpha cuts, theres so many of them, you can do so much with that. You dont have to just get clothing for legacy that fits this avatar, i found a couple of older pre SLUV mesh clothing items i could make work on here by just using alpha cuts because of how regularly shaped the body is, if that makes any sense?
Like im wearing avatar 2.0 mesh cargo shorts that mostly fit, and then alpha'ing out a few cuts of the thighs and they look like they were made for this avatar, its really nice to be able to do that with such precision.
I really like the hud design. I dont really use the other style options and presets and stuff thats in there? I think thats the closet feature? I like its layout, i might play with it some in the future, but for my uses i dont really need it.
My gripe is the price, this is expensive, and you get a lot for it. But i really think there should be a cost reduced version that takes out a lot of those extra features and leaves you with a body, BOM, skin tones and alpha cuts. This is a popular choice for other avatar types and mods because Legacy simply works the best compared to the others, could use an option for those users who wont use the extra features.
No BOM, no customizing
Super disappointed with the Advanced Material Editor does not accept any skins you try and plug into it, meaning the avatar I wanted to build is utterly impossible.
What?
"Supports BOM" No BOM button or the hud or applier included anywhere.
Good, but could be better.
I liked the body and the detail. However, I wanted to upload my normal map and couldn't find how. A very complex styling tool, and I didn't understand it. A great tool for deformations, you can put on many clothes from other bodies.
I would like to be able to apply normal maps by simply selecting an area on the body, as in jake's advanced body. Or at least somehow...
