A simple set of scripts allowing for a door with control with notecard access lists.
The door can be "locked" or "unlocked" by anyone on the "Control" notecard.
In the locked state, only people on the "Access" notecard may open it.
The can door also automatically close itself, in either state, after a configurable delay.
Three scripts are included (two open opposite directions, the third slides vertically) as well as sample notecards and directions on use.
Note:
A suitable door is at least 2 prims, with the root prim (the last one selected before hitting Link, and where the script is placed) being the 'hinge' where the door rotates. Making doors like this prevents the 'rotating from middle' problem described in the first review. Most prefab houses/doors are made like this.
Note #2:
Moving the door or resetting it while it's open can cause it to get confused. If this happens, move it to where you want it and reset the script again and it'll learn that's where it's supposed to be.
Pretty much the definitive door script
Can't complain at all. its light and it works without annoying "DOOR HAS OPENED" messages.
Easy to use and a great item, only not the best for homes with many doors
Eaiest scripts I have used yet fast simple and worked the first time nothing complicated about these scripts. Highly reccomend.
Very useful and very cheap, but always opens doors from the middle of the prim
