Wife of Baron Samedi. One of the few white-skinned loas; she protects gravestones in the cemeteries if properly marked by a cross. She drinks ron infused with hot peppers and is symbolized by a black rooster. Her veves are often made with gunpowder and black pepper. Cognate with St. Brigid of Kildare, who is associated with fire.
