Mana Shrine - Drow

A glowing Mana Shrine with animated textures, particles, and ambient sound effects. This will add mysticism and color to your dwelling or RPG sim. Measures 20x20x12 meters high. Fully modifiable. Size it as you see fit.

Drow Elves build Mana Shrines in areas of their underworld where mana energy heavily concentrates. Usually these areas are caverns where rare mana crystals are commonly found, and they are also usually near netherworld streams as well. A rare place indeed.

The purpose of the Mana Shrine is to make the mana more easily assessable to the Magic Users who come to tap the energy by concentrating the mana from its natural defused state into much more concentrated and multi-hued plasma like threads.

This mana energy is used to recharge either their personal mana or to charge up a magical device of some sort at two or three times the normal speed.

Sometimes the shrine will be used to multiply the effects of spells cast while standing upon it to summon an exceptionally powerful demonic being, or elemental creature, or even potentially to summon a god like being, or to boost divining abilities or to enhance any other magical discipline.

Often times a temple will be built around the Mana Shrine and used as a place of worship where the shrine will enhance a Priestesses ability to commune with her deity.

Needless to say, Mana Shrines are typically heavily warded and guarded with the most powerful of enchantments which are sustained and amplified by the energies of the Mana Shrine itself.
