The Marquis Discussion Tracker is a tool for discussion leaders to manage participants during organized SL discussions. It is equally effective in voice, text, or mixed gatherings. It allows both the leader and the participants to see the ordered queue of those who have requested a chance to contribute to the discussion.
The discussion leader has unprecedented control over the queue through the use of a menu driven HUD. The leader can promote participants to the top of the list, or delete them, as appropriate. The queue depth has no practical limit, and the top 10 people waiting to speak are displayed on the public display device.
Participants can request to speak by typing C or Q in local, to represent a comment or question. An R will remove them from the queue.
The Marquis Discussion Tracker will create optional visual and sound effects when it it is time for the next person to speak. It will also IM participants when they are next, to remind them that their turn is imminent.
