This item is both modifiable and copiable, so you can rez as many of them as you want or need, and can change them to suit your decor. You can even pull out the script and put it in something else, such as a picture or rug or lamp!
HOW TO EDIT THE SCRIPT
- Rez the object and change its name to something like "Skybox Visitors" or "Store Visitors" - something suitable to its purpose!
- Put it where you want it to go and change any properties you like (such as using an invisible texture, changing size and shape etc).
- Open up the script inside and input the following information (near the top of the script):
--- Your email address
--- Your avatar UUID
--- The UUID of any other avatar that you want to be notified of visitors
--- The name of the tracker (the one you changed the item's name to)
- THIS IS IMPORTANT! Next, change the script's properties to No Modify. This is mainly because it's got your email address in it, and I'm pretty certain you don't want random people finding that out ;)
- Scroll down a little way to the // Global variables section and change the float range from 300.0 (meters) to a suitable range for your visitor counter's location. For example, if you only have a small 20m store you don't want to count visitors to other peoples' stores around you, so rez your counter in the very middle of your store and set the float range to 10 (meters).
- Finally, click 'save' on the script and you're done!
FINDING YOUR AVATAR UUID
Some third party viewers will show your UUID at the top of your profile window, but if you don't have this capability in your viewer, then I have a free Avatar UUID Giver on Marketplace. Simply rez it, click it, and it will tell you your avatar's UUID in open chat. Scroll down to the 'related items' section at the bottom of this listing for it :)
