Thank you for your interest in Merlin Machines Laborator Module. This Role Play (RP) set has 4 different labs that can be chosen. You can rez one module and switch between a Science, Medical, Propulsion, and Cybernetics labs or you can rez more than 1 module and set each up with a different lab. The module is only 10 prims and the individual labs will vary between a land impact between 103 and 177 prims. Labs will rez when a module door opens and derez within 60 seconds of a module being vacated. Each lab has it's own features.
BLAST DOORS
Each lab has various "blast doors" that can be dropped to seal off a section of the lab in the event of an emergency. Physical doors are used instead of force fields because it was decided that labs will be more likely to conduct experiments with materials, compounds, organisms, and energies that may disrupt or pass through a force field but have more difficulty with a physical barrier of significant density.
MEDICAL LAB
The Medical Lab set contains a full-body scanner for developing new technologies and methods of diagnosis, an operation/isolation theater for exploring surgical techniques and xenophysiology studies, and a hydrobaric chamber for testing exposure to exotic fluids. When engaged, the isolation chamber can be accessed by a revolving airlock complete with decontamination sonics.
CYBERNETICS LAB
The Cybernetics Lab set includes a diagnostic/stasis lift as well as stations for program examination and development.
PROPULSION LAB
The Propulsion Lab set includes a small Matter/Antimatter Reactor Manifold (M/ARM) which can be ejected and recovered.
GENERAL SCIENCE LAB
The Science Lab includes a Harmonic Resonance Chamber for exploring methods of stabilizing unstable elements, a large aquarium for examining the behavior of aquatic lifeforms, and a Geo-Science room for studying flora and fauna as well as Geology. The Geo-Science room is accessed through a rotating airlock that includes a brief decontamination cycle, mostly to collect any dust and keep in where it belongs.
