Mesh DJ Headphones / HeadSet (Menu Driven with optional HUD!) Version 3.0

This DJ HeadSet was designed around a SL DJ who Plays busy clubs. Nothing on this headset was added without first being approved by, then tested by this DJ! Every effort was put into every line of the scripts to keep them as low lag as possible, its 100% Mesh and only 7 prims.

This HeadSet is menu driven by clicking on the headset, but as this can be a bit on the taxing side if your Avatar is on a DanceBall, also included is an optional single prim very low lag HUD! So if clicking the headset itself is proving to be difficult a single click on the optional HUD will bring up the Menus!

Menu Options:

AO – This option has 1 DJ and 2 dance animations!
(As you’re wearing the headset anyway by detaching your Main AO helps to reduce lag!)

Mic Up/Down: allows you to move the Mic boom to either of these 2 positions!

Leather: Texture change for the Strap over the head as well as the ear cups. Includes 9 colour options!

LEDs: On/Off options for the 8 built-in LED lights. Includes 8 colour options as well as a Random option!

FaceLight: Includes 4 different brightness levels allowing you to get the look you want!
(As you’re wearing the headset anyway by detaching your Main FaceLight helps to reduce lag!)

ShoutOut: This Option has 2 functions to use, Shout and Greeter, Either one can be set to On or Off!
Shout: This can be done in 2 ways! Either to shout everything you say in OpenChat! Or only the things you want to shout by adding /9 in front of what you type in OpenChat!
Greeter: Again 2 options here to greet all new visitors, either by IM or in OpenChat!

The setting for these are configurable via NoteCard! It also include the Name the shouts and greets are from, this can be personalized with any name you want so as the headset name is not used! The Greeting sent can also be personalized within the notecard!

Artist/Track: This option gets the Artist and Track title from your Stream which can then be used in 3
Ways! 1. Titler (Text above the HeadSet)! 2. Shouted in OpenChat! 3. Both 1 & 2! As well as both Off!
Stream URL can be added to the config NoteCard! (Only works with ShoutCast v1 Servers! V2 may well be added as an upgrade at a later date)

The Menu is also designed to reduce Lag! So things to note here!
When using the LEDs in Random mode, if you click the HeadSet or HUD the Random LEDs with shut off immediately! This is NOT a bug but designed to do so to allow a timer to kick in to timeout if the menu is not used once displayed! Therefore reducing overall lag!

LEDs and FaceLight: there is no way you would need both of these on at the same time? To help reduce lag, if either one of these are on, then you decide to turn the other on, the headset will automatically shut off the first one!

Instead of using 1 long script, the options have been added into a main script and 3 sub scripts. This might sound not so good but is designed to reduce lag as much as possible and to this end when the sub scripts are not being used the scripts are in a sorta standby mode and will not run until one of the menu options you use needs that script. The others will stay in standby until they are needed which will also put any other scripts which are not needed into standby mode!

RESIZING:
There is no resize script include! This is because this script will resize every prim in the Headset! After testing on a lot of friends we found that everything was the right size but in a few cases a little bit of adjustment of position was needed at no point in the testing did anything need resizing bigger or smaller! This is the Main reason each main part is a single mesh object and not one complete mesh, as this makes adjustment easier!

This can be done using basic building tools editing only the prim that needs to be moved!
Do this while standing on a Pose Stand and ideally without wearing hair! Bear in mind that in RL the headset would rest over the ears against the head! NOT against your hair with a gap between headset and your head!

.Config NoteCard:
This is in the contents of the Headset, it is easy to follow with info of what each line does, and what to add! There are also some example settings three to give you an even better idea as to how to complete the line you want to use! IF you’re NOT going to use the shout/Greet or Track/Artist the default setting will work so no need to edit anything!

To Use:
Just wear the headset and/or HUD! Positions for both are setup and will be ok for most Users! If after wearing either the HeadSet or HUD you find it removed something you were already wearing? Try right clicking the item then clicking [Add].
