---
The Road Builder is a system that allows versatile road construction, however it is important to understand its method and the limitations.
The system relies on the second life Snap to Grid functionality. With 2 exceptions will all parts snap to a 0.125 grid.
All parts are meant to be placed in the X and Y directions of the SL grid.
One exception is the Diagonal part that is used to connect 45' bends.
The set has a Left and a Right Bend part each with a 45' turn, together forming a 90' turn.
Bend REZSETs with pre-rotated and linked bends have been included for easy acces.
There are 2 sets of Slopes, one with 15 and one with 30 degrees inclination.
The lowest elevation is 4m, apart from that any elevation in meters can be achieved.
Most of the parts have 2 faces, one for the road, and one for the sidewalks. The parts have no bottom face.
The bottom parts come separately and can be used to create a part's bottom or a ground surface that fits the part's shape.
Normal Width = 14m (8.5m road + 2x2.75m sidewalk)
The flat Straight and Diagonal parts can be stretched in length up to 64m, keeping Land Impact cost at 0.5.
Resizing the parts' width will make them loose the snap to Grid functionality.
There are however a set of sizes where Snap to Grid is preserved. A table with their measurements has been included. (Width Small=7m - Default=14m - Large=21m - XLarge=28m)
Upscaling will gradually increase the Land Impact of the Bend, Crossroad, T-split, Rise and Fall parts.
Straight, Diagonal, and Slope parts are unaffected by upscaling.
Shrinking the parts more than 50 % might result in deformation of the object and its textures and is not recommended.
The manual contains:
A - How to use Snap to Grid.
B - Working with the Bend parts
C - Constructing Slopes
D - Using the Bottom parts
E - Resizing Instructions
F - Overview of the parts

When I was having trouble snapping my roads together, Dr. Zimmerman came and showed me exactly how to do it. No wonder I've always liked the Zimberlab products.
Oh my goodness...
...this has EVERYTHING you need to make all types of roads. It's so well organized too!
Worth the price
everything is there and it looks great nice work zimberlab
Great roads
I use my own textures and it works perfect. The only problem I have is that they are not prim. Makes it really hard to snap to each other. There is always a slight off set to them because it's not prim. Overall best road system to use.
Note: Wish there were smaller bends. The ones provided are too wide.
