You need this much more than you think...
At some point in time, you'll have learned that Linden Lab "guarantees" that your avatar will *never* be seen naked — unless *you* want it, of course! The idea is that, when you teleport in to a new location, everybody around you will see you as a "cloudie" or as an "impostor avatar" (those cardboard-like silhouettes I'm sure you've seen around) until at least some of your clothing has rezzed, and then — only then! — your avatar will be shown to others.
Well, that's not a 100% guarantee.
Most notably, if *others* around you have *your* body/shape already on cache, but not your clothes — because you're wearing something new that neither you nor your friends have in their disk caches yet! — then it's highly likely that they *will* see you stark naked *before* the clothing rezes, causing that kind of "oops" situation that we all wish to avoid.
However, we all know that these days, most underclothes designers have gone full mesh with their awesome designs, like everybody else; and mesh lingerie is subject to the same problem!
The *only* solution, therefore, is to fall back on texture-based lingerie: this gets baked on mesh (server-side) and it means that at the very least, your avatar will *not* be naked when it finally rezes to others. That's what this garment is for: it's not simply a cheap, "retro" piece of clothing, but an essential part of your daily routine, which is the sole way of 100% guaranteeing that you will *never* be seen naked, no matter what. But, of course, you want to wear high-quality textured clothing, and Alaska provides just that, smoothly covering all "naughty bits" and giving you the confidence that you'll be avoiding all "oops" situations in the future.
Highly recommended — this item would have been five times more expensive, back before 2012 when we didn't (yet) have meshed clothing, since it's really extraordinarily well done.
