Auto-configures range, there is no setup, no HUDs, and no settings to go through! The ultimate chat extender orb covers a whole parcel if it's only one parcel, or covers a whole region if it is one place and one owner
The only thing you need to do is rez the main orb anywhere in the region, and rez as many relay units as you need at every 20m of range! That's all!
Every relay unit covers 20 meters of chat range around it
Each area where chat needs to be extended must have a relay unit rezzed in the middle of it
The main orb is mod, no copy - you only need one in a single region.

Why does the chat extender need relay units every 20m?
First, Normal nearby chat's fixed range is 20 meters everywhere in SL and that cannot be changed, and most public nearby chat between avatars is said within 20m, plus some chat is shouted (100m), and some chat is whispered (10m), if you want the chat extender to extend whispers too, it still does even when you rez a relay unit at every 20m of range along with shouted chat, but there would be some areas in between them that may not detect whispers, if you also need whispers and want to make sure that even whispers can be extended from anywhere, you can rez a relay unit at every 10m of range, that's totally optional.
Second, nearby chat can only be listened to and detected within no more than 20m of range via any script.

I must offer praise to the creator of the Mint Chat Extender. I contacted them about a problem I encountered and after a few questions they said they'd get back to me. They fixed the problem quickly and gave me an updated version. Setup is simple or straight forward. AND it works! Great product.
