This finder can do a lot:
* Find a specific object
* Find your own objects
* Find objects owned by others
* TP to the object
* Particle stream to object on or off
A friendly note, this object runs scripts, so its not going to work in any place or region where you can't run scripts. There are many other options for finding lost items in-world and some of them are completely free, but this a fun tool which works. You can have just as much fun 'finding' objects and avatars when you know where they are so its more than just a finder. That said, if you want to debate whether to spend the $100, go get Emerald, you can find everything and everyone for free.

Some functions do NOT work...
I own my own sim, so have no prob with things not working becuz of "permissions." Some functions on this gadget menu work FINE, a few do NOT. My BIGGY is my need to FIND objects left by another AV and THIS does not work at all. If I click the gadget, get a blue menu, and click "Other" I'm told to "type /52 Avatar Name" in chat. I type in (say) "/52 Mary Smith," and get NOTHING even tho I'm standing NEXT to 2 objects owned by Mary Smith !! The gadget SAYS it's scanning but CANT find the objects !! The vendor has promised HELP. If I get it, I will report back here, or you are invited to IM me.
Most of the times I lost something in SL, it was because of the server acting weird. In those cases this finder (or any other finder) is not useful, because it will either (1) point at the place where the item is supposed to be, but where it isn't or (2) not find anything. The finder object is not to blame for that, but it's something to consider before spending L$ on one while panicking because you lost your super-expen$$$ive no copy object. A L$1 finder will do just as good a job at not finding objects eaten by the server.
That said, this thing does what it's supposed to do.
This item does NOT work in no build sims, the menu wont even open.
