The ORIGINAL!
[NSi] PreFabricator - The Advanced Sculpt Kit Assembler
Version 2 - Double the functionality.

What makes the [NSi] PreFabricator different from other systems?:
- It really works!
- It's easy, it's fast and low-lag!
- It doesn't need any special setup from your sculpt provider like notecards, sculptmaps with naming conventions, etc. all you need is a full perm sample!

You don't believe it? Then watch >> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=btkI70erCiE << and see it with your own eyes
(video still from version 1! The new version DOES texture, color etc.)

What's the PreFabricator good for?:
---------------------------------------------
There are tons of very good sculpted prefabs / creator kits available in SL. Professional 3d artists provide them for creators to use them in their own works and designs. The kits usually contain the sculptmaps and a complete fullperm example to show the results aimed for and to use as reference for building it your own. But if you ever rebuilt a 40 prim shoe prefab or a 70 prim belt then you know this can be a real pain. It means hours or days of copy pasting parameters, finding the proper sculptmap for itsy bitsy tiny parts, messing with SLs camera and frustration when the result still just doesn't look like it should. Eventually a lot of people give up and the sculpt kit ends as a several k L$ trashitem.

The PreFabricator rebuilds the prims and sculpts of your fullperm prefab examples with you as the creator, so you can concentrate on creating your designs instead of wasting time and stressing your nerves to rebuild something that was already made before. And it's so easy!

Step-by-Step:
------------------
- STEP 1 : Rez the PreFabricator within 10m to the root prim of the fullperm prefab / sculpt kit example you want to build.
- STEP 2 : Create a single prim and take it into your inventory.
- STEP 3 : Open the PreFabricators contents and add the prim to it.
- STEP 4 : Grant the permissions requested by the PreFabricator.
- STEP 5 : Add the "[NSi] PreFabricator Source" Script to the root prim of your fullperm prefab.
- STEP 6 : Touch your fullperm prefab once.
- STEP 7 : Lean back and watch the PreFabricator doing its magic.

Limits and important Infos:
---------------------------------
- The example prefab used as source for the PreFabrication MUST be fullperm to rebuild all parameters (meaning the actual objects permissions, the contents permissions don't matter). Aslong as the source is mod the PreFabricator will work but sculptmaps and/or textures won't be applied in the result so you would have to do this manualy (still a great time saver but not what it's meant to be) OR you use a little hack: If you put the sculptmaps and textures into ALL prims of the source and in the PreFabricator it will work with no-trans/no-copy too. Most good prefab providers include an assembled example in their product though (if not send them a kind request to do so).
- The source MUST have less links than the current SL linklimits ( maximum links = SL linklimit minus one). However I suggest to split big linksets into smaller pieces of about 75 to 100 links.
- Rather uncommon primparameters might fail to be reproduced. Out of about hundreds of tested prefabs with thousands of prims that happend for two prims (both times the slice value of a box prim, manual fix took seconds).
- The PreFabricator WON'T reproduce megaprims.
- Scale down unreasonable large examples to avoid linking issues (you can scale up the results afterwards)
- Always only prefabricate ONE object at a time.

EULA / TOS / Warranty:
-----------------------------
- The term "Prefab Example" aka "Sculpt Kit Example" in this context means the preassembled linkset provided by a sculpt seller as reference in a commercial sculpt ressource kit for builders.
- You will only use the PreFabricator with legally obtained prefab examples or your own creations.
- You will respect the EULA and TOS of the respective prefab provider.
- The product is sold as is. No refunds.
- We will not be responsible for any future changes in SecondLife which might break the features or usability of this product.

I bought this ten minutes ago, and have already made up items that would have otherwise taken all night.

I wish I'd seen this tool years ago, but am soooo glad to have it now! I haven't had it long enough to tell if there are any glitches, but right now I believe this will be worth every $L and more.

Indespensible Tool

Be warned this does not work on Mesh.

This does work on Sculpted or regular prims. Also if you have an object built with sculpts and regular prims together it copies it nicely. I keep a prim in the folder so I can drop it in quick.
