Mesh clothing can not, at the current time, be resized like sculpted clothes can. This means not all mesh clothes will fit all avatars. The demo is your way of finding out if the skirt will fit your avatar.

There is life with mesh!
Okay, so I have gone the route of trying all sorts of mesh clothing, and have found that most of it is pretty poorly done (the most common failure being in the design of the Alpha layers I think) and have, on occasion, thought never to buy mesh again. Certainly one would be ill advised to purchase any mesh product without first thoroughly trying a demo in full movement (such as dancing,) not just on a pose stand. Hint to mesh designers - no demo, no sale, period. A really strong hint to designers of the mesh itself - do not tell me to "just tweak" my avi - the clothes should be made to fit the woman, not the woman to fit the clothes. My avi is pretty true to real woman measurements and most of your standard sizing designs do not fit properly, period!
Mesh, however, does offer benefits over what had become standard clothes design practice in SL and one must move with the times. In designing this skirt, Nadia Swizzle has done a perfect job, offering not just the 5 "standard" sizes touted by designers (who want only to sell in a manner convenient to themselves rather than to deal with real people) but rather 7 sizes in total, plus 4 variations of Alpha layer to customize to YOUR avi.
Lo and behold! Intelligence on the part of the designer! A skirt size and choices of alpha layer that fits MY avi without show-through and without my having to bastardize my shape to suit the clothing! Nice texturing too. And look at the price! Very reasonable.
