Super product. The skin is very nice and one of the best I have seen. The cloths are so detailed and vivid. Nothing but wow for this product :)
NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I have IM'd and sent note cards to her and everyone she has listed as a contact for anything and NOTHING to date, not one word, this has been going on for months. She'll gladly take your Linden but DO NOT expect anything remotely approaching even sub par customer service.
UPDATE: I was finally deemed worthy of being acknowledged by Jenna Fairplay. She spent more time trying to impress me with how very important she is to the world of Second Life, employing hundreds, and she is far to busy to care about the needs of one little customer, when so many flock to her skirt, begging to be touched by her business brilliance.
She refunded me fifty percent of my monies and summarily banned me from her properties for voicing my opinion and concern about her serious lack of customer support. Thank you for the partial refund, Mighty Jenna Fairplay and thank you for banning me from all you touch. You've done me a real service by assuring I won't accidentally purchase anything from you in the future.
RESPONSE: Strange the almighty Jeanna Fairplay failed to mention my suggestion that I would return my 1500L skin for the correct skin or the reason I purchased the replacement skin in the first place, was due to three months of silence on her part. I suppose facts, like customer service, are irrelevant to her ladyship.
Again with the "I'm very busy person" routine. Do you honestly think you are the only person who works inside or outside of Second Life? I know many busy people who make sure to find the time to address their customers concerns and not take THREE months to do so.
SUGGESTION: Dear juggernaut of industry, Jenna Fairplay, I would encourage you to create at least one e-mail address. You could create multiple addresses, one for each of your divisions. Then assign one or more of your underlings to check this e-mail on a regular basis and empower them with the ability to solve customer problems.
I would like to claim this idea as my own but there are far larger and widely recognized residence in Second Life with businesses, who apply this technique in handling issues related to customer service. No worries about IM or note card caps, responses within six hours or less, even the smallest customer walks away feeling like they have been treated well. It's amazing the customer loyalty and word of mouth support created, when you actually demonstrate carrying about your customers.
Second Reply: I realize that Linden Labs can be a bit controlling but so draconian that my off site e-mail accounts are governed by Second Life's Term of Service? I've looked through the Term of Service and I see nowhere it suggests that if you created an e-mail account (example: jpfcustomerservice@anydomain.com) the account you created would be governed by or fall under the control of Linden Labs.
However, that generic account could be used by those you designate as customer service representatives to handle issues related to customer support. If an e-mail account is not enough, create a website with the ability for customers to submit a form to request customer support. There are many, many people who have e-mail accounts and websites created to support their SL business ventures.
Why don't you study the acknowledge first Second Life resident, who made a real million dollars from doing business in Second Life, Anshe Chung. You'll find she employs all these techniques (You allege are against the Term of Service agreement) in order to adequately serve her customers. Amazing!
Reply to Bella Divine: First, congratulations for outing me, give yourself a cookie, I'm all those disparaging things and more. Second, she stated to me she employed seventy people in Second Life, quite a sizable organization and one that should have a functioning customer support system. Third, I agree the Avatar is of very nice design but Miss Fairplay is merely a vendor, credit for creating this wonderful product, that looks great on your boyfriend, should all be given to Lydia Vesperia, she is the talented artisan who created the Night Elf body and skin.
Please, lets not forget among the myriad of personal attacks and hurling of insults, my issue with Miss Fairplay is about the lack of adequate and timely customer service.
Oh, lastly, I think for the sake of adding credibility to your comments, you should have mentioned that the first four words of your profile state....i help Jenna Fairplay...The readers should now find your words beyond reproach.
Final Word
Since buy this item more then one hundred and fourteen days have passed. I sleep only five hours per day, leaving me up nineteen hours per day or two thousand one hundred and sixty-six hours of waking time. In total I've invested no more then thirty minutes in writing and updating my review, which constitutes less then one tenth of one percent of my available waking time.
I have purchased forty one items during that same time period on Slexchange; all but five have been reviewed, all but one review received less then four stars. You may attack me, belittle me, insult me, it all simply emboldens me. It is totally within the bounds of consideration by a potential buyer to know the actions and behavior of a vendor along with the quality of the product.
Miss Fairplay ignored me for ninety plus days and only responded when I called into question her behavior and lack customer service. She never once apologized for the delay in returning my queries. She, like the reviewers above, offered excuses, rationalizations and condescension. The size of the organization, Miss Faiplay alleges she has an expansive organizations, not small as some suggest, has no bearing on rather a vendor offers adequate customer service or treats customers with some semblance of respect or dignity.
I have interacted with vendors small, only four products, and large, hundreds of products, and in both cases walked away impressed. I was not impressed with Miss Fairplay and as stated above, and regardless of those who wish I would be quiet and stop sharing my experience with their employer or friend, feel it's within my rights to share with future customers my experience with this vendor.
Again - Caveat Emptor: This is a first rate product being sold by a questionable vendor. Since it seems my review has catalyzed her employees and friends, perhaps it will equally encourage her to make changes in the way she personally interacts with customers. I pray your experience with Miss Fairplay is a far better one.
Review of item: This item is one of my first purchases on Slexchange.com I must say it is very nice. The texture work in the clothing is very detailed and the colors are vivid. The skin is well shaded and I like the wings. For the Linden I think I got a great deal. I now have a complete avatar look at a great price. I showed it to some of my fellow works and they said it looks like something out of World of Warcraft and Linage2. I would not call it "sickly" nor the wrong shade or color. The image matches it perfectly :)
Review of on-going debate: I don't wish to get "badgered by Klaus" but I must admit after reading the reviews and replies and more reviews and replies you sir need to get a hobby. Klaus your ranting about a "customer support issue" that started months ago and are still periodically checking this item for replies to your comments. In addition you investigate others who post and review this item. Either you're self -absorbed or Bella is in fact correct your badgering Jenna and need to "get a life" or both.
Comparing one item you purchased and the customer service issues to that of Anshe Chung is a bit astray, as Anshe Chung's support revolves around her 1 million USD Sim business and this is a 2500 Linden item on SLexchange worth about 10 USD. I think Anshe can afford and requires the vast support she needs thus your comparison is invalid.
I also think such lengthy debates belong in the "item discussion" section link that is on the top of the listing not here in the review. I agree with Bella that Jenna you should report Klaus and have Slexchange remove his review and rating, or at least move them to the item discussion section. To further prove my and Bella's point that Klaus needs a life, I do expect Klaus to review my profile and offer a rebuttal comment soon after this posting. Oh and lastly if it helps... No I don't work for Jenna Fairplay, should I put that on my profile too? Last time I saw someone so worked up over 10 dollars was at Burger King over the "Have it your way" motto.
