It's finally here... AOrta 2! :) Now all wrapped up in a tidy HUD button (the kind of object that 'attaches' to your screen, and is visible only to you for your personal control). It is always ready to help you get your dance on!! ;0 Lets you quickly scroll through your animation collection, or just click the '<TIMER>' button to automatically switch dances every 60 seconds! :)
I've only included three sample animations to try from my 'Bounce On Toes' set, just to be able to demonstrate its use... sorry I have not yet made any dance animations to include! ;0 There are lots of great dance creators out there, so go search for them! :)
When you get new dances you want to add to your AOrta, first detach/unwear it, then drag it from your inventory window to the ground to 'rez' it inworld. Right-click it and 'Edit' and the Second Life edit window appears. Choose the 'Content' tab in the edit window, then add or remove animations as you like! (Big tip: if you are removing animations from AOrta, be sure to drag them to your inventory window to save them!) When done, right-click it again and 'Take' it back to your inventory, then wear it; it will automatically reset and be ready to go!
The button turns color to indicate that it is still waiting to listen for the dialog box options; this means you can leave the dialog box visible for eight minutes before AOrta will close the channel. Otherwise, just 'Ignore' the dialog box when you are done with, and let AOrta close the channel on its own; it will return to its default color when it does so.
Oh - and you can load SOUNDS into it too! :) So you can just click a sound to trigger it! :) Sounds are ignored by the automatic <TIMER>, so you can safely mix dances with sounds in one AOrta. :) It is copiable though, so perhaps just make another separate AOrta button to handle your sounds! :)
NEW FEATURES just added: now there is a nice read-out of your current dance, especially nice for random <TIMER> dancing! And, when you walk or teleport, your dancing will automatically pause for a bit to allow you some time to rest while exploring. That way, you do not have that 'chronic dancing' look! ;) The teleport pause is 15 seconds. The 'walk pause' is equal to the amount of time it measures you actively walking; this is to allow just short delays if you are moving about a dancefloor, or longer pauses for when you are exploring longer distances. :)
