Olodumare, Olòrún, Olofi
The Yoruba and their spiritual descendants view the world as a web of interconnected beings connected by Ashé, the dynamic spiritual ground of reality. They recognize 3 manifestations of God:
The African Trinity, pure spirit, source of ashe (chi or mana)
Olodumare is the heavenly creator: austere, remote and beyond human understanding. Olòrún is the owner of the heavens, a spirit, neither male nor female, associated with the sun and the energy that runs through all living things (ashé,).
Olofi is the conduit between Ọ̀rún (Heaven) and Ayé (Earth), a link between god and man. Sometimes considered cognate with Jesus.
