I'd been using the same old ceiling fan for over a year and while it's nice enough, I was looking for something to fit a more "modern" decor. This fan is not only stunningly beautiful, but it's SO EASY to set up! None of that "oh god, it's two pieces, now I've messed it up and I'll never get the blades aligned right" with this little jewel! You put up the base, drop the blades and they align themselves! Not to mention the handy dandy wall switch, which looks so authentic. All around, and outstanding purchase with which I am very well pleased. I expect I'll buy another fan or two for different rooms in my house.
