A Pair of two Louis xvi carved and white painted armchairs upholstered in "dame en trois couleurs" ; a 18th century silk lampas from Lyon and used in many of the french royal palaces.

With the discovery of the ruins of the city of
Herculaneum, all the arts evolved progressively in a
neoclassical style, so the furniture abandoned the
capricious curvs forms of rocaille and replaced by
straight and harmonious lines, the expensive
simplicity of the style "à la Grecque"
