Just about perfect.
It was this or the Happy Paws head. I'm glad I got this one - the shape is just right for my current project and it's easy to work with.
Yes, easy to work with, because IF YOU FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS ON THER NOTECARD you can fit any prim eyes you like. Outer diameter should be around 0.1m, or somewhat less if you change the sunken-eye figure. Personally I go for the larger eyeball so there's less sclera showing.
For those who have fussed about the scripts, that's explained well in the creator's FAQ in his profile. Yes, it should be in the notecard too, a small caveat.
The animations work well, and the HUD is small and simple and sits in the corner doing its job.
Wish list? Bento, of course.
Oh, and a demo, because it isn't always easy to pick the item you want without wearing it first.
But none of this takes away from what I will tell you is an interesting, unusual and VERY worthwhile mesh head, that is being sold at an equitable price. You'll definitely get your money's worth - just READ THE NOTECARD and the FAQ so you know what to do.
want to love this head, but...
something has gone wonky with this head! without any prior editing, just simply rezzing it out of the box, a ton of parts are randomly set to blending mode. this means theres a ton of weirdness with clipping and it takes a huge amount of fixing to get the head to not clip through itself. the head itself is nicely sculpted and all but the texture blending mode issues really need to be fixed
Its an ok head, quite usable even, but i expected more functionality..
Pro's
: It does take modkit textures very good,
: is semi easy to size fit to an avatar,
: Has a distintive shape which indeed looks Goaty -'Undertale-Monsterlike',
: even a good stand in for Dragonic looks.
: Comes with neat smooth horns ( slightly too featureless for me, i used diffrent ones),
& cute add on ears ... However...
Con's
: My major grype,... It costs a quart of a common avatar, but lacks a working tongue ? pffft. =w=
: Clunky big hud, without a minimalisation button, which makes a nasty click sound when used,
even with button sound volume slider at 5%.
: Near impossible, to close your eye-lids fully,..
: Indeed, fitting Eyes, what a nightmare, 0wo. After going through my avatar- & - parts collection,. & having tried editing several eyes to fit, I finally stumbled on a near perfect fit,
namely Aventity Jex- Eyes.... Yay, again for the existence of SL Jexes. ^w^
: No way, to lengthen or edit, the canid fangs, without distorting the whole upper- & lower muzzle,
& adding other fangs is tough, because you cannot move or take out teeth. Expect upper-
& lower lip clipping when trying to add extra fangs. pffft again.
Conclusion
: If your mod is layed out for this head, it is worth getting, & can be worked with,
but if your mod can be applied to a more versatile head, i myself would do so & pass this Paws Goat-monster head.
good head mesh,kinda misleading?
the head as it comes does not have a working flap/talk jaw,it does not even open at all
at least with the current update, maybe older versions have it working, but mine certainly does not
the jaw/mouth is an entire linked piece,it cannot even be alphad to open :(

if this gets changed to an actual moving jaw ill reconsider my review, but its mostly static at this point, which is not a very good look
AAAAAAAH YESSS
Smooth, cute, and astonishing with furry prim eyes! I especially love how the horns and ears are optional, which was the thing i was thinking of the most. Really made my avatar unqiue and adorable. I'd give it 10 stars if i could
Looks lovely
The head was well done and with what i think is "quality" mesh for its price. Im not sure why others have had issues using this head with finding eyes to fit it properly, i use several type of eyes including the CC and i had very little trouble getting them to look nice being attached to the "eye" placement of the avatar skeleton and when i have had issues with eyes "pooping" out when they move i have found an easy solution to attach them to the skull and re-preposition each eye into the proper spot...they will not look around but your eyes will stay in place and hardy anyone really looks close enough or pays attention to your eyes and how they move or not :p Lovey work and made in my personal opinion from some one who does mod alot of things in second life "Not Hard" to work with if ya know what your doing and have the patience to work with a product
