This very special Jackalope Crate will turn your favorite breedable pet jackalope into a permanent pet! Permanent pet jackalopes, unlike the breedable ones, can be safely taken into inventory without being packaged into a Jackalope Crate. That means that this crate will be the last one your pet will ever need.
Permanent pet jackalopes will no longer eat or breed, but they will hop around happily inside your Jackalope Pen for as long as you want without needing any other care items (without a Jackalope Pen present when the pet is rezzed, it may wander farther than you want and become hard to find, but after the pet is rezzed and the home is set, you may pick up the pen if you want and the pet will remember where it was).
To use the Permanent Pet Jackalope Crate, simply rez it near your pet jackalope, like any other Jackalope Crate, click on the pet you want to make permanent, and select the package option. Then click on the crate and choose to unpackage it, and your jackalope will come out as a permanent pet. Congratulations! Like the regular Jackalope Crate, the Permanent Pet Jackalope Crate is a one-time-use item.
The jackalopes themselves are sold separately. The olive and teal one is shown here as an example of a permanent pet jackalope--it looks just like any other pet jackalope, though when you click on it the text will state "Permanent Pet" under its other stats, and it will no longer have a hunger stat.

Note: If your permanent pet jackalope falls through your platform or skybox and slowly moves toward the ground, use the area search if necessary (or just wait on the ground for it) and open the edit window. Set its Z position to 40 or 60 (must be a multiple of 20) meters above your platform and click on the jackalope pen to set home as soon as the pet falls into view. The pet will then remain on the skybox or platform level. This is only an issue when rezzing a permanent pet directly from inventory onto a platform or skybox, and it should not effect pets when they are rezzed onto the ground or unpackaged from either a normal crate or a permanent pet crate.
