One excellent table, and one that... well even the first woulda been worth the 2400
You may or may not have seen my reviews of the other tables so let me first preface with this: guys? this is Second Life. There's gonna be some lag and you get used to it. The Wizardly tables are USUALLY set up to deal with that...
Here we are reviewing a 2 table set. Vampire Pinball.. by my creaky memory, seems to be based on V:TM's clans that you fight your way through. You have different targets to hit, and each one sets out a challenge for you to achieve... and it's fun to do it. I have tested this a few times.. do NOT hit "change view" when in play or you'll get a false tilt. this does not seem to be a problem on Wizardly's other tables. It's great. You'll be happy to pay 3 thousand Lindens for that table alone.
Now let's discuss Garlic Bomb. I love the concept. You are presented with a varying playfield of vampire popups and are challenged to hit the titular garlic bombs to melt the jerks with their allergy. The concept is great, but the execution is, frankly, lacking. In other tables this creator understands the limitations and variables and tries to work around them.. but this one? If you're stuck with that ONE LAST VAMPIRE? You have to wait for the one bomb that can kill it to appear and even then you gotta hope to hit it AND hope that last vampire is in range when it blows. I love the concept, but the execution needs some refining.
That said? For how TURBO fun the other table is? It simply would not be fair to give this combo anything less than a 5 outta 5. it's not PERFECT.. but you'll get your money's worth out of Vampire Pinball... and if you're patient you can get some competition going from Garlic Bomb also, but I recommend friends to play against.
All in all, it's a really good time. Gun to my head I'd recommend only "Vampire Pinball" but that's worth more than the entrance fee anyway, so why not add on Garlic Bomb?
