Do you really want to load images in SL from 3rd party websites ? You don't have to.
Here's a simple slideshow with a nice transition to a colour of your choice. It also has a variable interval and can handle as many images as you can drop into a prim. Only 1 script and 2 prims.
To use this slideshow, simply edit the object, go the content tab, and drag the pictures you would like to show into the content tab. When you have put all the images in the slideshow, you can touch the bottom part of the slideshow and the menu will appear.
From left to right, the buttons are:
* Play starts the automatic slideshow.
* Pause freezes the slideshow.
* Stop stops the automatic slideshow and will display the first picture again. This button also makes the menu disappear again.
* Back page backward
* Next page forward
The menu will also disappear automatically when the next image is shown.
If you like, you can change the amount of time in seconds between image changes by editing the slideshow object, and in the general tab, change the number you see there to the amount of seconds you would like. Values ranging from 5 to 60 are accepted.
You can also change the colour of the fade effect to whatever colour you like. To do so, edit the slideshow object, select "Edit linked Parts" and left click the front of the slideshow. Give this prim the colour you like and the slideshow will fade your pictures into and out of this colour.

It's very, VERY user friendly and the transition between pics is always smooth. An option to shuffle the order of the pics (it goes by alphabet of the names of the pics) would have been nice but it's not a miss.
