New from The Ordo Kivsungai is a near first within the role play community. A series of traps that function and do damage using the safezone combat syste, which is a standard in many RP sims. Using configurable triggers that allow you to do custom messages and to limit the number of folks capable of activating the item these static defensive implements are ideal for town, or camp defense.
Below is the actual notecard included within the package. This particular trap comes packeged with one poison gas cloud trap. This item can do continuous damage over time once it has been set off by an uwary traveler.
Thank you for purchasing one of the traps from The Ordo Kivsungai. These static items are designed to allow you to deter raiders from entering your hom in certain role plays sims.
While each trap has its own particulars the Boiling oil, Darts, Log, and rocks all work off the same basic trigger. Instructions fortheir use are as follows.
1)Rez the trigger wire on the ground.
2)enter edit mode and go to the item's contents. Open the notecard marked config. Also at this time set the item to the group beloning to the land it will be left on if any.
3)Double check that the current settings are to your liking. Also change the channel for your personal traps to something beside the default one.
4)Rez the traps you wish to use for this particular wire.
5)Place the item nearby and above the wire. the items will fall out below the trap itself when the wire is contacted. A Deflector play style to resemble the scenery or made invisible can also be used to get them to move in the right direction.
6)Go into edit mode on the trap, enter the contents tab and open the config notecard.
7)set the channel for the trap to the same one as the trigger wire(s) you will be using to set this one off.
8)Leave edit mode. Locate your trigger wire and click it.
9)when it asks if you wish to reset select yes. All traps, and wires set to thet channel will then reset and synchronize together. Now when anyone the trap is cpable of attacking steps on a wire set to the traps linked to it the traps will be triggered.
10)Double check the positions on the traps. Ensure that the projectiles they will emit fall into the spaces you need them too. Reposition and add deflector prims as needed.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE SPIKE AND POISON GAS TRAPS.
1)Rez on the ground where it will be left. Set to the proper group for the land if the land has autoreturn, do not deed it to the group though.
2)Enter edit mode and go to the contents tab.
3)open the config notecard and double check the settings there to ensure they're to your liking.
4)save the notecard and then reset the traps' script
5)double check your placement by having someone who can trigger the trap walk into it.
ADDENDUM:
1) Traps only do safezone damage, and will not hurt anyone who is not wearing a safezone health meter
2)Lag can cause hits to not register. If you're traps do not function all the time it is possibly due to lag. Try resetting the scripts, and making sure they're not deed to a group as well as using them in a low lag enviroment before IMing Rhubardin Fluffball.
3)They will only do damage while the owner is online. They don't need to be in the same sim, but they do need to be logged in.
4)Owners cannot be hurt by their own traps. They can set them off, but not be hurt by them.
5)The Dart shooters are copyable as they're not as accurate as the other items. Multiple firing projectiles can cause a lot of lag though so the reccomended limit is four scripted tubes, and then delete the scripts from any others to create the illusion of multiple launchers.
